Three Master of Social Work (MSW) students are embarking on a transformative journey to enhance health care for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities. As part of the 2025-26 Connecticut Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (CT LEND) program, these students are gaining specialized training aimed at improving the quality of life for both children and adults facing developmental challenges.
The CT LEND program focuses on interdisciplinary education, providing students with the skills necessary to address complex health care needs. Participants engage in hands-on learning experiences, collaborating with experts in various fields, including psychology, education, and public health. This comprehensive approach equips future social workers with the knowledge and tools to advocate effectively for individuals with disabilities and their families.
By participating in this program, the MSW students are not only enhancing their professional capabilities but also committing to a future where equitable health care is accessible to all, regardless of their developmental challenges. Their dedication to this cause signifies a promising step forward in the ongoing efforts to improve support systems for affected individuals and their communities.
