The Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has joined forces with the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) to launch the 2025 Stead Scholars internship. This innovative program is designed to provide students and recent graduates from Arkansas colleges and universities with valuable exposure to public health research and practices.
Participants in the Stead Scholars program will engage in hands-on experiences that deepen their understanding of public health issues and the importance of research in addressing these challenges. The initiative aims to cultivate a new generation of public health professionals who are well-equipped to tackle the pressing health concerns facing communities today.
Through this partnership, scholars will not only gain practical skills but also contribute to ongoing public health initiatives within the state. The internship represents a significant step toward fostering a more informed and proactive approach to public health among young professionals in Arkansas.
