MONTGOMERY – Governor Kay Ivey on Thursday signed Executive Order No. 741, creating the Alabama Rural Health Transformation Advisory Group. This newly formed Advisory Group aims to provide guidance to the governor regarding the advancement, policy formulation, and execution of Alabama’s Rural Health Transformation efforts.
The initiative comes in response to the ongoing challenges faced by rural communities in accessing quality healthcare services. The Advisory Group will consist of various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, community leaders, and policymakers, who will collaborate to identify gaps in healthcare delivery and propose effective solutions.
Governor Ivey emphasized the importance of improving health outcomes in rural areas, stating that every Alabamian deserves access to high-quality healthcare, regardless of their location. The Advisory Group will play a crucial role in shaping strategies that address the unique health needs of Alabama's rural populations, ensuring that they receive the support and resources necessary for healthier futures.
